Located in the beautiful area of Pont d'Espagne, this moderate 5.839-kilometer hike offers stunning views and a chance to connect with nature. The trail starts at Parking du Puntas, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure.
As you make your way along the route, you'll come across various points of interest. About 1.67 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a lovely water feature. Further along, at about 1.62 kilometers from the beginning, you'll find another picturesque spot called Lac des Huats. The trail also takes you past Hôtellerie du Lac de Gaube, a restaurant offering a chance to refuel around 2.62 kilometers into the hike.
One of the highlights of the hike is Lac de Gaube, located approximately 2.87 kilometers from the trail but still accessible for a visit. This stunning lake is definitely worth the slight detour. Along the way, you'll also pass by other water features and attractions like Vue sur Cascades et Pont d'Espagne, Sapin Gogant, and Monument Alphonse Meillon.
The hike is an out-and-back type, so you'll retrace your steps back to the starting point. With an elevation gain of 250 meters, this trail offers a good balance of challenge and enjoyment.
