Welcome to the Eraste hiking route! This moderate 6.812 km out-and-back trail offers a scenic adventure with an elevation gain of 128 meters.

The route starts at the Lizuniaga parking area, where you can find some useful information about the trail. As you begin your hike, you will come across a drinking water point at 0.93 km from the start, so make sure to fill up your water bottle before continuing your journey.

Around 2.86 km into the hike, you will reach a beautiful water feature, offering a peaceful spot to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings. As you approach the 0.04 km mark, you will pass by the Lizuniaga restaurant, a perfect place to grab a bite to eat and refuel for the rest of the hike.

Further along the trail, at the 3.41 km mark, you will encounter the Eraste and Eraste lepoa peaks, providing stunning panoramic views of the area. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of the landscape before heading back towards the starting point.

Throughout the hike, you may also come across some historical points of interest, such as the Túmulo Lizuniaga archaeological site, adding an extra layer of intrigue to your outdoor experience.
