This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and diverse landscapes. The trail is 5.155 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 269 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It will take approximately 1 hour and 51 minutes to complete.

Starting at the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, you'll come across a charming restaurant called Restaurant d'alpage Basseruche where you can grab a bite to eat.

About 2.46 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a water source, adding a refreshing element to your journey. Along the way, you'll also find informative signs and benches where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

At around 1.3 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the Fruitieres de Nyon viewpoint, offering picturesque views of the surrounding area. Another viewpoint awaits you 1.28 kilometers in, providing even more opportunities to take in the scenery.

The endpoint of this out-and-back route is the Cabane de Rochefort, an alpine hut where you can rest and take in the beauty of your surroundings before heading back the way you came.
