This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area near Vápenica. The trail is 5.505 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 420 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. It is an out-and-back route, so you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your hike, you will pass by a parking area and a water source within the first 0.11 kilometers. Further along the trail at 0.4 kilometers, there is a shelter where you can take a break. Make sure to stay hydrated, especially as you approach the fountain at 0.05 kilometers and a restaurant at 0.04 kilometers from the start.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Vápenica at 2.75 kilometers into the trail. From there, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Additionally, there are informational points along the way, such as Horný Harmanec and Kaskády na Harmaneckom potoku, providing insight into the local flora, fauna, and geological features.

At around 1.25 kilometers, you will find the entrance to Harmanecká jaskyňa, a cave that you can explore for a fee. For a different cave experience, Dekrétova Jaskyňa is located at 0.14 kilometers from the start of the trail.
