This extremely difficult hiking route takes you to the breathtaking Niederer Krippenstein area. The trail spans a distance of about 12 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1620 meters, making it a challenging yet rewarding adventure.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Kessel cave entrance, just 0.15 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at around 1.82 kilometers from the start, you will find the Seewand Klettersteig via ferrata, offering a thrilling climbing experience.
Midway through the hike, around the 6.01-kilometer mark, you will encounter the Klettergarten Niederer Krippenstein, a popular climbing spot with stunning views. As you continue on, at approximately 4.97 kilometers from the start, there are various information points and benches where you can take a break and learn more about the surroundings.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Niederer Krippenstein at 6.01 kilometers, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, the Mittlerer Schönbühel and Äußerer Schönbühel peaks at 3.06 and 2.64 kilometers from the start respectively, offer stunning viewpoints along the way.
