The Kanonenweg hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning views and historical landmarks. The 2.7-kilometer circular trail offers an easy hike suitable for beginners and families.

Starting at the parking area, hikers will make their way along the well-maintained trail. Along the route, you will come across several points of interest. Just a short distance from the start, there is a quaint bench where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

As you continue on, at approximately 1.29 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Speierheld Hütte shelter and the Ritterstein Nr. 248, "Speyerheld" memorial. These historical landmarks offer a glimpse into the area's rich history.

Further along the trail, around 1.31 kilometers in, you will encounter a viewpoint known as Köpfel, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, there is also a boundary stone with historical significance.

For nature enthusiasts, there are various information points scattered along the trail providing insights into the local flora and fauna. Make sure to check out the Nollensattel information point and the Klima und Wald exhibit.

Towards the end of the hike, you will pass by the Themenweg Kult(ur)wald information point, where you can learn more about the cultural significance of the local woodland.
