This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Cratère Caubet. With a total distance of 8.803 kilometers and an elevation gain of 208 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is expected to take around 2 hours and 33 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across the Gîte du Volcan, an alpine hut located just 0.06 kilometers from the starting point. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding views before continuing on. Along the way, you will also pass by Pas de Bellecombe, a saddle point situated 0.66 kilometers from the trail.
As you make your way towards Cratère Caubet, be sure to stop at the various viewpoints scattered along the route. These include Vue panoramique, located 0.84 kilometers from the start, and Formica Léo, an attraction found 1.34 kilometers into the hike.
For more information about the area and points of interest, informational signs can be found at several locations along the trail. These include Enclos du Volcan, situated 1.11 kilometers from the start, and Formica Léo, which has information available 1.28 kilometers into the hike.
