Welcome to this extremely difficult hiking route in the beautiful area surrounding Balcon de Dolomieu. This 12.052-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a challenging trek for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Gîte du Volcan, an alpine hut located 0.06 kilometers from the trail. This could be a good spot to rest and refuel before continuing. Moving along, at 0.66 kilometers, you will reach Pas de Bellecombe, a natural saddle that provides a unique vantage point.
Further along the trail, at 0.84 kilometers, you'll find a panoramic viewpoint known as Vue panoramique. This is a great spot to admire the surrounding landscape and take some memorable photos. As you continue, at 1.31 kilometers, you'll encounter Formica Léo, an interesting attraction that adds to the charm of the hike.
Halfway through the hike, at 6.03 kilometers, you'll reach Balcon de Dolomieu, offering breathtaking views that make the journey worthwhile. Here, you can take a break and enjoy the scenery before heading back.
