Welcome to the Szklarska Droga hiking route! This 8.173-kilometer circular trail offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for hikers.
Starting off at the parking lot, you'll find yourself surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. As you trek along the trail, you'll come across a couple of water sources where you can take a break and refill your water bottle. These spots are located about 0.19 and 0.16 kilometers from the start, respectively.
About 2.51 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the informative Rozdroże Pod Zwaliskiem and Rozdroze Izerskie points. These areas provide interesting insights into the surroundings and are great rest stops for weary hikers.
One of the highlights of the hike is the Zwalisko viewpoint and peak, located at around 3.31 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from this vantage point are simply breathtaking and worth the effort to reach.
Further along the trail, at a distance of 4.05 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Kopalnia kwarcu "Stanisław" quartz mine and another scenic viewpoint that offers stunning vistas of the area.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, be sure to check out the memorial site Narzeczeński Kamień and the Nieczynny kamieniołom kwarcu (inactive quartz quarry) located at 2.25 and 0.46 kilometers from the start, respectively.
With an elevation gain of 302 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
