Welcome to the hiking route to Ederhütte, located in the beautiful area surrounding Schmittenhöhe. This hike is considered extremely difficult due to its length of 15.099 kilometers and elevation gain of 912 meters.
As you start your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find the Jaga-Alm restaurant, where you can fuel up before embarking on your adventure. As you continue, you'll reach the Hochzeller-Alm alpine hut and the Ketting Alm for a brief respite.
Midway through the hike, you'll encounter the Sonnkogel Alm and Berghotel Schmittenhöhe for some breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to take a moment to appreciate the Salersbachköpfl and Schrambachkopf peaks before reaching the Ederhütte alpine hut at the end of the trail.
Throughout the hike, you'll find various amenities such as shelters, information points, benches, and picnic sites to enhance your experience. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before starting your journey.
