This challenging out-and-back hiking route on the D 12 - D 12 trail spans a distance of approximately 7.25 kilometers with no significant elevation gain. The trail starts at a parking area, conveniently located at the beginning of the route.

As you trek along the trail, you will come across several water sources for you to refill your water bottles. These water sources are situated at different points along the trail, with some closer to the start and others closer to the midpoint and the end of the route.

One notable point of interest along the trail is the Monument aux Morts, a historic memorial located just 0.1 kilometers from the start of the hike. This memorial offers a brief moment for reflection before continuing on your journey.

Given the length of the hike, it is important to come prepared with an adequate water supply and snacks to fuel your adventure. Additionally, be sure to check the weather forecast before setting out on the trail to ensure a safe and enjoyable hiking experience.
