This extremely difficult hiking route will take you to the stunning peak of Škrlatica. The trail covers a distance of approximately 12.848 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1689 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across Aljažev dom v Vratih, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Further along the trail, you will encounter Šlajmerjev dom v Vratih, another alpine hut offering a cozy spot to take a break.
As you continue on, you will reach Bivak IV. Na rušju, a shelter where you can seek refuge if needed. Keep an eye out for Strme police, a peak located midway through the hike that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
For those in need of a refreshment, there is a spring located at a distance of 2.2 kilometers from the start. Additionally, there are drinking water stations available along the route to help you stay hydrated.
