Mali Triglav

This hiking route takes you through the breathtaking area surrounding Mali Triglav. With a total distance of 27.972 kilometers and an elevation gain of 2381 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenge.

You will start your journey at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on the trail. Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest, including Aljažev dom v Vratih and Šlajmerjev dom v Vratih, alpine huts where you can take a break and soak in the stunning views.

As you continue on, you'll come across Bivak pod Luknjo, a shelter for hikers seeking refuge. Further along the trail, you'll encounter Dom Planika pod Triglavom, another alpine hut offering a place to rest and recharge.

Throughout the hike, you'll also pass by historic sites such as Planinski dom Napoleone Cozzi, Gemona, and Nekdanja vojašnica Gemona Superiore. These ruins provide a glimpse into the area's past and add an interesting element to your journey.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching Sedlo Dolič, a natural saddle that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you'll find Koča na Doliču, an alpine hut where you can grab a bite to eat before continuing on your adventure.

Other points of interest along the trail include Luknja, a saddle with informational signs, and Mali Triglav, a peak that offers stunning vistas of the area. You'll also come across various springs and fountains where you can fill up your water bottle.
