This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes. The trail is considered super easy, with a total distance of 1.239 kilometers and an elevation gain of 66.0 meters.

As you embark on this journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you will find DAV Leipzig, a great spot to gather information about the area and maybe learn some interesting facts before starting your hike. Further on, after about 0.04 kilometers, you will reach a water feature where you can stop to rest and enjoy the serene surroundings.

Continuing on, at around 0.35 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the Kernzonengrenze information point, providing insights into the core zones of the area. As you approach the midway point of the trail, approximately 0.62 kilometers in, you will encounter Tümpelgrundturm, Griesgrundwächter, Elbgucke, Erikascheibe, Tümpelgrundwand, Wetterwarte, and Gelbe Wand, offering opportunities for climbing and spectacular views of the surrounding peaks.

For those interested in taking a break and admiring the scenery, a viewpoint awaits at a distance of about 0.62 kilometers from the start of the trail. The endpoint of this out-and-back route is the Wetterwarte, where you can enjoy the panoramic views before heading back.
