Starting at the designated parking area, you will first come across DAV Leipzig, a nearby information point about the area. As you continue on the trail, you will pass by a water source located 0.04 kilometers from the start, which can be a great spot for a quick break.

Further along the trail at 0.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach Kernzonengrenze, an informational point marking the boundary of the core zone. This can be a fascinating stop to learn more about the area's conservation efforts.

As you proceed, you will encounter several climbing spots and peaks, such as Tümpelgrundturm at 0.67 kilometers from the start, Griesgrundwächter at 0.43 kilometers from the start, Elbgucke at 0.55 kilometers from the start, Erikascheibe at 0.67 kilometers from the start, Tümpelgrundwand at 0.67 kilometers from the start, Wetterwarte at 0.62 kilometers from the start, and Gelbe Wand at 0.67 kilometers from the start.
