This challenging hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Col de la Puina in the scenic area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 5.855 kilometers and an elevation gain of 548 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Rifugio Città di Fiume alpine hut located 1.75 kilometers from the trailhead. This hut serves as a great resting point for hikers to recharge and enjoy some local hospitality. Further along the trail at 1.66 kilometers, you will find an information spot where you can learn more about the area.

For those driving to the trailhead, there is parking available at Parcheggio Rifugio Città di Fiume, right at the beginning of the trail. It is advisable to arrive early as parking spots may fill up quickly.

As you continue your journey, at 1.68 kilometers you will encounter another information point that provides valuable insights into the surroundings. Additionally, at 1.75 kilometers, there is a viewpoint where you can pause to admire the stunning natural beauty.

Further along the trail at 2.93 kilometers, you will reach the Col de la Puina peak, offering panoramic views of the area. This is a perfect spot to take in the picturesque landscapes and perhaps enjoy a well-deserved break before heading back.

It is important to note that Forcella Costantiol, a saddle point, is located 2.78 kilometers from the start but is not directly on the trail. Therefore, if you wish to explore this natural feature, be prepared for a slight detour.
