This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Via Mottarone. The 5.855 km trail with an elevation gain of 173 meters offers a moderate level of difficulty, suitable for hikers with some experience.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. About 1 kilometer into the hike, you will reach the "Memoriale Domenico Piemontesi e Pasquale Fornara" memorial, honoring the individuals it is named after.
Continuing on, at around 2.63 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the "Cascata" waterfall, a perfect spot to take in the scenic views and rest for a bit. Nearby, you'll also find the "Stella" climbing area, offering a challenge for those interested in climbing.
About midway through the hike, at 2.79 km from the start, there is a viewpoint where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surroundings. As you make your way back, you'll pass by "Balena bassa" and "Pera aquila" climbing spots, giving you a chance to admire the rock formations along the trail.
