This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route leads to the picturesque destination of Haltersitz. Spanning a distance of 13.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 857 meters, this challenging trek is not for the faint of heart.

Starting off at the parking area conveniently located at the trailhead, hikers will immediately be greeted by the serene surroundings of the area. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 0.02 kilometers in, you will come across a historic wayside shrine, adding a touch of cultural significance to your journey.

Around the 5.8 kilometer mark, you will encounter the Feichtauhütte alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and refuel before continuing on your adventure. At the 6.9 kilometer point, you will find the stunning Feichtauer Seen lakes, although slightly off the trail, they offer a rewarding detour for those looking to take in the natural beauty of the area.

As you get closer to your final destination, Haltersitz peak, at the same 6.9 kilometer mark, you will be treated to breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment as you conquer the challenging terrain.

Remember to pack plenty of water, snacks, and wear appropriate hiking gear as this trail is not to be taken lightly.
