This extremely difficult 13.342 km circular hiking route takes you through the stunning Ötztaler Gletscherstraße area, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. Approximately 6.25 km from the start, you'll find a natural water source where you can replenish your supply. Further along the trail, at around 5.42 km, there is another water source available.
For sustenance options, there is a restaurant named Hühnersteign located right at the beginning of the trail. About 1.06 km in, you'll find the Rettenbachalm restaurant, and at approximately 5.01 km, you'll reach Restaurant Rettenbach, which is wheelchair accessible. Salomon Lounge, a bar, is located midway through the hike, around 5.08 km in.
Parking is available at various points along the trail, with some lots being closer to the start than others. It is essential to check the parking fees and regulations beforehand.
Additionally, there is a rock formation located 0.77 km from the start and an information point at the beginning of the trail.
