Starting at Stony Cove, you'll first come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. As you continue on, at around 2.34 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a water source nearby. Further along the trail, at 2.39 kilometers, there is another water point to refill your water bottles. Keep going, and at 3.1 kilometers, you'll encounter multiple water sources at different points along the way.
Around the 2.12-kilometer mark, you'll reach Caudale Moor, a peak that offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Additionally, at 2.22 kilometers, there is another water spot nearby. Further ahead, at 2.54 kilometers, you'll find another water point before arriving at Stony Cove Pike, another peak with breathtaking scenery at 2.73 kilometers.
As you approach the end of the hike, there is a memorial called Mark Atkinson's Monument located 2.13 kilometers from the start, though not directly on the trail.
