Welcome to the Sandhügelschneise hiking route! This circular route offers a moderate hiking experience with a total distance of approximately 5.955 kilometers and no elevation gain.

As you begin your journey, you will come across the Wakeport parking area, located right at the start of the trail, making it convenient for you to leave your vehicle. As you continue, about 2.94 kilometers into the hike, you will find a natural water source for refilling your bottles.

Around the 2.77-kilometer mark, another opportunity to replenish your water supply presents itself. Along the way, you may encounter the Strandbar Wakeport, a beachside bar where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.

At about 1.9 kilometers into the route, you will pass by a historic boundary stone, adding a touch of cultural significance to your hike. Further along, at the 2.16-kilometer mark, a bench provides a comfortable rest spot with a picturesque view.

As you near the end of the trail, approximately 1.18 kilometers in, you will encounter more historic boundary stones, adding an interesting element to your outdoor adventure.

Throughout the hike, it is advisable to carry an ample supply of water, especially on warmer days, and to check the weather forecast before setting off. Remember to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed to fully enjoy the beauty of the Sandhügelschneise hiking route.
