This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Mattestand. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at an elevation of 812 meters and reaching the destination point at 1390 meters.

As you begin your hike, you will pass by a parking area just 0 kilometers from the starting point. Be sure to bring plenty of water as the distance of the trail is 9.572 kilometers with an elevation gain of 733 meters. The hike is of moderate difficulty due to the length and elevation gain, so be prepared for a good workout.

Along the way, you will come across some points of interest. At just 2 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source, perfect for refilling your bottles. As you continue on, at around 3 kilometers, there is a restaurant called Bergrestaurant Matte where you can stop for a meal or snack. Nearby, there is also a fountain and an information point called Matten.

Further along the trail, at 4 kilometers, you will find another information point. Finally, as you reach the end of the trail, at 4 kilometers, you will arrive at the viewpoint called Mattestand. Here, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding area.
