This extremely difficult 14.2-kilometer circular hiking route, known as the Sentiero Balcone, offers breathtaking views and a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, hikers will embark on a journey through rugged terrain and varied landscapes. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest. About 2.95 kilometers from the start, you will find the Col Saint-Bernard, providing informative insights into the area. Continuing on, at around 3.45 kilometers, the Mourga information point offers more details about the surroundings.
As you make your way through the trail, you will reach the Colla Bassa, a saddle point at 5.38 kilometers, providing a picturesque spot for a break. Further along, at approximately 6.45 kilometers, the Monte Grammondo peak offers stunning panoramic views of the region. Near this peak, you will find the La Tour peak at 4.21 kilometers, showcasing the natural beauty of the area.
For sustenance, there are drinking water stations along the route. The first one is about 0.39 kilometers from the start, with another at around 2.48 kilometers. Additionally, a food court is located at 3.62 kilometers for a well-deserved meal break.
Towards the end of the hike, at 6.01 kilometers, the Colle Bassa information point offers further insights before completing the circuit. Finally, returning to the starting point, hikers will have completed a challenging but rewarding adventure.
