This challenging 8.335-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning natural beauty of the Batteria d'artiglieria area.
Starting off at the parking area, you will begin your journey by following the trail towards Monte Singìo and Monte Cengìo, two majestic peaks offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. Approximately 3.96 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a cave entrance, adding a sense of adventure to your trek.
As you continue onwards, be sure to stay hydrated as there are drinking water stations at 0.13 kilometers and 2.26 kilometers from the start. If you need a break, a bench is conveniently located at 2.24 kilometers into the hike.
Around the midway point at approximately 3.68 kilometers, you will find the Rifugio Gruppo Stella Cometa alpine hut, a perfect spot to rest and refuel while taking in the scenic vistas.
Look out for various viewpoints scattered throughout the trail, providing you with ample opportunities to soak in the picturesque landscapes. The Osservatorio d'artiglieria viewpoint at 4.01 kilometers offers a unique vantage point to appreciate the surrounding beauty.
Towards the end of the hike, you will reach Batteria d'artiglieria, a historical artillery battery that serves as the destination point for this invigorating trek.
With an elevation gain of 522.0 meters and a duration of approximately 3 hours and 14 minutes, this difficult hike is best suited for experienced hikers.
