This challenging out-and-back hike to Monte Bastia covers a distance of approximately 6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 636 meters, taking around 3 hours to complete. The trail starts in a picturesque area with parking available nearby.
As you begin your hike, you'll come across a bench where you can take a short break about 0.66 kilometers into the trail. Further along, at 1.25 kilometers, you'll find a spring called Funte Minigua, ideal for refilling your water bottle. Around the same distance, there is an information point providing insights into the surroundings.
Continuing on, at 1.53 kilometers, you'll encounter two more benches for resting along the way. At 1.74 kilometers, you'll pass by the Grotta Sup. della Tanna da Suja cave entrance, adding an adventurous twist to your hike. As you progress to 2.41 kilometers, you'll reach the peak of Punta Suia, offering stunning panoramic views of the area.
The highlight of the hike is reaching the summit of Monte Bastia at the 3-kilometer mark. Take in the breathtaking scenery before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
