This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Penya de l'Àliga. The trail is 3.712 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 37 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all levels of hikers.
Starting at the parking area, you will find the trailhead right from the beginning. As you make your way along the path, you will come across various points of interest. About 0.91 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Collet de la Fita, a picturesque saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing on, at 1.25 kilometers, you will encounter the ruins of Barraca de Mas Maiol 177, providing a glimpse into the area's historic past. Further along the trail, at 1.86 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Penya de l'Àliga, a must-visit destination for panoramic views of the area.
After taking in the breathtaking scenery, you can explore the historic ruins of forn de Calç 98 and forn de Calç 181, located at 1.86 and 1.54 kilometers respectively from the start of the trail. Additionally, at the 1.8 kilometer mark, you will find the ruins of cabana de Pedra Seca 9409, adding to the historical allure of the hike.
As you make your way back along the route, you can also visit various other ruins such as barraca de Pedra Seca 6964, barraca de Pedra Seca 6963, and barraca de Pedra Seca 1094, each offering a unique insight into the area's past.
