This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Albion Basin area, with stunning views and various points of interest along the way. The route is an out-and-back trail leading to the majestic East Castle destination.
Starting at the Cecret Lake TH Parking, you will embark on a 6.36-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 436 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike. Along the trail, you will pass by the Albion Basin Campground at the beginning of the route, a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
As you continue on, you will reach Cecret Lake at 1.41 kilometers from the start, offering a serene setting for a break and some beautiful photo opportunities. Make sure to bring water as there are multiple drinking water stations along the trail, including one at 0.16 kilometers and another at 0.29 kilometers from the start.
Further along the trail, at 2.91 kilometers from the start, you will encounter Devil's Castle, a prominent peak that stands out in the landscape. Finally, at 3.18 kilometers from the start, you will reach the East Castle destination, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
