This challenging hiking route will take you on a 7.876-kilometer journey to Pioneer Peak in Albion Basin. The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, with lush meadows and picturesque views along the way.

Starting at the Cecret Lake TH Parking, you will begin your ascent towards Pioneer Peak. Along the trail, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will pass by Albion Basin Campground, a perfect spot for camping and enjoying the serene surroundings.

Further along the trail, you will encounter Catherine Pass, a beautiful saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. As you continue your journey, you will reach Sunset Pass, another scenic saddle that provides a great vantage point for taking in the landscape.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching Pioneer Peak, a stunning peak that offers breathtaking views of the area. It is located about 3.7 kilometers from the start of the trail and is a great spot to rest and enjoy the scenery.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several drinking water sources, so make sure to refill your water bottle to stay hydrated. This hike has an elevation gain of 527 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous climb.
