This hiking route will take you on a challenging yet rewarding journey through the beautiful Hochlerch area. The total distance of the hike is approximately 6.655 kilometers with an elevation gain of 920 meters, making it a difficult trail that will test your endurance.

As you start your hike, you will come across the Hochgern parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trail. This trailhead is conveniently located at the beginning of the route.

Midway through your hike, you will reach the Windeck viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. This is a great spot to take a break, catch your breath, and admire the natural beauty around you.

One of the main highlights of the hike is the Hochlerch peak, located approximately 3.17 kilometers from the start. This peak offers breathtaking views and is a perfect photo opportunity.

Along the way, you will also encounter other points of interest such as the Madonna peak, Luchsfallwandl peak, Drei Sennerinnen peak, and various benches and springs for resting and refilling your water supply.

It is important to note that this is a circular route, so you will eventually make your way back to the starting point. Before setting out on this hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
