This extremely difficult 17.43-kilometer hike will take you on an out-and-back adventure to the breathtaking destination of Glocknerblick. Starting from Wanderparkplatz Glanz, the trail will lead you through challenging terrain with a total elevation gain of 1345 meters.
As you make your way along the route, keep an eye out for the following points of interest:
- At the beginning of the hike, you'll come across the Sudetendeutsche Hütte, a charming alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the mountain views.
- Approximately halfway into the hike, you'll find the Äußere Steiner Alm restaurant, a perfect spot to refuel with some delicious local cuisine.
- Along the way back, make sure to stop by the Glanzer Berg peak for stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
- For a refreshing break, there are drinking water stations and picnic sites conveniently located along the trail.
- Information points such as Abzweig Glocknerblick and Sudetendeutsche Hütte offer insights into the area's history and wildlife.
