Foxes Tarn

This challenging 7.125-kilometer hike will take you through the stunning area surrounding Foxes Tarn. The route is circular, starting and ending at Lake Head Car Park. As you begin your journey, you'll pass by the informative Welcome to Wasdale sign which is just 0.05 kilometers from the start.

As you continue, you'll encounter Sca Fell, a peak located 3.01 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This majestic peak provides a breathtaking backdrop to your hike. Further along the trail at 3.17 kilometers from the start, you'll find Symonds Knott, another peak that adds to the beauty of the landscape.

Midway through your hike at 3.43 kilometers, you'll reach Foxes Tarn, a picturesque water feature that offers a tranquil setting to rest and admire the surroundings. Be sure to bring plenty of water on this difficult hike as the elevation gain is 934 meters.
