This challenging hike will take you to Mont de la Buffaz, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way.

Starting at the parking area near Le Fournet, you will pass by the ruins of an ancient site about half a kilometer into the trail. As you continue, you will come across a drinking water source, providing a refreshing break around the 0.58-kilometer mark.

Further along the trail, at approximately 1.48 kilometers, you will reach a natural spring, followed by another drinking water source at 0.8 kilometers, known as Source sous la Buffaz.

Continuing on, at around 0.88 kilometers, you'll encounter more ruins, adding a touch of history to your hike. The Chalets de l'Allier, a tourist information spot, will be located at 0.8 kilometers.

Finally, at approximately 3.46 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the peak of Mont de la Buffaz, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

This out-and-back trail covers a total distance of 6.928 kilometers with an elevation gain of 594 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek. Be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
