This hiking route will take you to Mont de la Buffaz, offering a challenging but rewarding experience. The trail spans approximately 6.9 kilometers and includes an elevation gain of 594 meters, making it a difficult hike with a duration of around 3 hours and 5 minutes.
Starting from the trailhead, you will come across various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you continue on, about 0.03 kilometers from the start, you will reach Le Fournet, which is an information point providing insights into the area.
Further along the trail, at around 0.52 kilometers from the start, you will encounter ruins that showcase the historical significance of the region. Additionally, at 0.58 kilometers, there is a drinking water point available for hikers to refill their supplies.
As you hike approximately 1.48 kilometers from the start, you will reach a natural spring, providing a refreshing stop to rest and hydrate. Continuing on, at 0.8 kilometers, you will find another drinking water spot known as Source sous la Buffaz.
Throughout the hike, you will also come across Chalets de l'Allier, a tourist information point located about 0.8 kilometers from the start. Finally, at 3.46 kilometers from the start, you will reach the peak of Mont de la Buffaz, offering breathtaking panoramic views as a rewarding endpoint.
