This extremely difficult hiking route takes you on a 16.5-kilometer journey with a total elevation gain of 979 meters in the Piton Misère area.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will find parking facilities available. As you progress, you will come across water sources conveniently located midway through the trail, providing a refreshing break.

Around the 5-kilometer mark, you will encounter shelter and picnic sites, perfect for resting and enjoying a meal. Further along, at 5.3 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Piton Textor, a notable peak in the area.

As you continue on, you will pass by more shelters and a picnic site. Keep an eye out for Piton Doré, another peak offering stunning views, located approximately 0.57 kilometers from the start.

Near the end of the trail, around the 8.25-kilometer mark, you will reach Piton Misère, the final destination of this challenging out-and-back route.
