The trail starts in a picturesque area with parking available nearby. As you begin your journey, you will come across a wayside shrine and shelter about 0.03 kilometers from the start, offering a glimpse into the historic and cultural significance of the region.

Around 3.33 kilometers into the hike, you will find a lovely picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. As you continue, a viewpoint named N.D. de bois vert will provide breathtaking views of the landscape, just 0.02 kilometers off the trail.

Further along the route, you will encounter various points of interest such as additional shelters, information points, and a waterfall known as Pisse de Sainte-Catherine, located approximately 6.51 kilometers from the start. These landmarks offer opportunities to rest, learn about the area, and admire the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Throughout the hike, make sure to stay hydrated and pack enough water, especially considering the length and difficulty of the trail. It's also recommended to check the weather forecast beforehand and wear appropriate hiking gear.
