This hiking route in the Pian Bornengo area is an extremely difficult 17.31 km out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1207 meters. You should expect this hike to take around 7 hours.

As you start your journey, you will come across "San Carlo," an informational point right at the beginning of the trail. Further along, at around 0.03 km from the start, you will find "Cadagno di Fuori," another informational point.

Around 4.44 km from the start, you will see "Lago Scuro," a beautiful water body slightly off the trail. Continuing on, at 2.9 km from the start, there is a water point directly on the trail. There are more water points along the way, so make sure to refill your supplies.

At 3.17 km from the start, you will find another water point on the trail. For sustenance, a restaurant is located 0.04 km from the start of the trail.

As you progress, you will encounter "Capanna Cadlimo," an alpine hut approximately 5.7 km from the start, with a website for more information. Nearby, another informational point named "Capanna Cadlimo" is situated at the same distance.

Further along the trail at 4.03 km from the start, you will come across a peak. At 5.14 km from the start, there is another water point off the trail.

Towards the end of your hike, around 8.53 km from the start, you will encounter two waterfalls, both located on the trail.
