This extremely difficult 14.31-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area of Monte Sarase. The hike includes an elevation gain of 1163 meters and will take approximately 6 hours and 13 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this challenging adventure, be sure to pack plenty of water and check the weather forecast.
The trail begins at an easily accessible parking area with no fees, located right at the start of the route. As you make your way through the hike, you'll come across several points of interest. Midway through the journey, you'll find the peak known as Cerro de Iguarra, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surroundings. Continuing on, you'll pass by Peña Valdango and Punta del Cuchecho 1667, both notable peaks along the route.
For a quick break, stop by Mesón del Jamón, a pub located at the beginning of the trail. If you're in need of some information or assistance, there is an information point at a distance of 42 meters from the trail. Additionally, Mesón Casa Diego, a restaurant, offers a perfect spot to refuel for the rest of your adventure.
Towards the end of the hike, you'll reach Monte Sarase, the final peak on the route. From here, you can enjoy the sense of accomplishment and take in the stunning views of the area.
