This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area around Great Crag. The trail is a moderate 4.87-kilometer out-and-back route with an elevation gain of 334 meters, making it a challenging yet rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across The Langstrath Inn, a cozy pub where you can stop for a refreshing drink or meal before hitting the trail. Just 7.8 meters away from the trail, you will find convenient parking to leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure.
Further along the trail, at around 1.44 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a mesmerizing waterfall, offering a serene spot to rest and take in the scenic views. Continuing on, you will pass by more waterfalls at 1.42 and 1.43 kilometers respectively, adding to the charm of the route.
Midway through the hike, at 1.99 kilometers from the start, you will find another water source, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water bottle and stay hydrated.
As you approach the endpoint of the trail, you will reach Great Crag, a prominent peak in the area, offering stunning panoramic views as a rewarding end to your journey.
