This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Col Taront, offering stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a historic wayside shrine, Ancona Santissima Trinità, just 0.62 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This shrine provides a glimpse into the area's religious history and is a peaceful spot to take a break.
Continuing on, at the halfway point, you will reach a viewpoint, where you can pause to admire the breathtaking scenery. This spot, located 0.54 kilometers from the start, offers a great opportunity to rest and take in the surroundings.
As you trek further, you will encounter a free flying site, Decollo Col Manzon, a popular takeoff spot for paragliders, located 2.01 kilometers from the start of the trail. Watching paragliders soar through the air adds a sense of adventure to your hike.
Towards the end of the trail, at 2.5 kilometers from the start, you will reach another peak, Col Taront, offering panoramic views of the area. This is the turnaround point of the out-and-back route, where you can take a break before heading back.
With a total distance of 5.007 kilometers and an elevation gain of 247 meters, this moderate difficulty hike provides a good workout while also offering rewarding experiences along the way.
