This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to the beautiful Coal Santo destination, covering a distance of approximately 7.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 888 meters.

Starting off, you will find convenient parking at around 0.29 kilometers from the trailhead. As you trek through the path, at the beginning of your journey, you will come across a lovely picnic site and a parking area, both around 0.29 kilometers away from the start. Further ahead at about 0.44 kilometers, there is a refreshing spring and a cave entrance for you to explore.

Around 1.65 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water source to refill your bottles. As you reach the midpoint of the trail at 3.38 kilometers, you'll encounter the picturesque Bocchetta del Coal Santo saddle. Continuing onwards, at 3.8 kilometers, you'll reach the Coal Santo peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surroundings.

It's advisable to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey due to its challenging nature. Remember to pack some snacks and enjoy a picnic at the designated site along the way. With a duration of around 4 hours, this hike promises a rewarding adventure for avid hikers.
