This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you through the stunning terrain near Sekillaga.
The trail starts at a parking area, about 0.45 kilometers from the beginning, where you can leave your vehicle before starting your adventure. As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across a picnic site, located approximately 3.66 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 6.52 kilometers from the start, you'll find the peak known as Sekillaga. Climb to the top for breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Nearby, at 6.5 kilometers from the start, you can explore the archaeological site of Menhir Mugarriaundi, adding a historical touch to your journey.
As you continue on the trail, you'll encounter various information points along the way. These stops provide interesting insights into the area's natural and cultural heritage. Be sure to check them out as you trek through the landscape.
Additionally, don't miss the water source located approximately 0.6 kilometers from the start, offering a refreshing spot to rest and rehydrate. Lastly, at the end of the trail, about 0.6 kilometers from the start, you'll find the cave entrance known as Sandaili harpea, adding a sense of mystery to your hike.
With a total distance of 13.031 kilometers and an elevation gain of 760 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
