This hiking route takes you through the beautiful Civitella area, offering a mix of natural and historic landmarks to explore. The trail is 2.63 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 74 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the trailhead. Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.32 kilometers from the start, you will find the Parco archeologico della Civitella, an archaeological site showcasing ancient ruins and artifacts. Nearby, you can also visit the peak of Civitella, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
For a rest or a picnic, there is a picnic site situated just 0.02 kilometers from the start of the trail. Further along the route, around 1.32 kilometers in, you will encounter the ruins of Abitato di acropoli, an ancient building steeped in history.
Towards the end of the trail, approximately 0.91 kilometers from the start, you will find the ruins of Porta Est, an ancient gateway. Additionally, there is an information point and a bench nearby for visitors to take a break and learn more about the area's significance.
