This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Klammweg, offering stunning views and historical points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of about 1.85 kilometers with an elevation gain of 151 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
Starting the hike, you will come across various points of interest such as Gasthaus "Zum Pfaffenstein" restaurant at the beginning. As you continue on the trail, you will find the Terrassenhof restaurant and a parking area midway. About three-quarters along the trail, you will reach the Aussichtsturm viewpoint and the Ehemaliges Vereinshaus des Bergschützenbundes ruins.
For the adventurous hikers, there are several peaks and climbing spots to explore, including Pfaffenstein, Abendwand, Bundesfels, Pfaffenkopf, Dreimännerturm, and more. These are scattered throughout the trail, offering a mix of natural beauty and thrilling challenges.
Don't forget to stop by the Goldschmidthöhle cave entrance and take a moment to appreciate the Opferkessel natural water feature. Along the way, you will also find benches for resting, information points to learn more about the area, and various viewpoints to admire the landscape.
