Welcome to the hiking route to Barbarine in the beautiful area of Pfaffenstein. This circular route offers stunning views and interesting points of interest along the way.

Starting off, you will pass by the Gasthaus "Zum Pfaffenstein“ at the beginning of the trail, where you can grab a bite to eat before your hike. As you continue, you will come across the Terrassenhof restaurant, situated at the start of the trail, offering a great spot for some refreshments.

Along the trail, you will encounter various peaks and climbing spots such as Barbarine, Förster, and Fritschfels, each offering a unique perspective of the surroundings. The Aussichtsturm viewpoint and the Ehemaliges Vereinshaus des Bergschützenbundes ruins provide a glimpse into the area's history and natural beauty.

As you hike, be sure to check out the Goldschmidthöhle cave entrance and the Falkenhöhle cave entrance for a touch of adventure. Information points along the trail provide interesting insights into the region's natural and cultural heritage.

The route is approximately 2.7 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 153 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. Be sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this picturesque journey to Barbarine.
