This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you through a challenging 11.739-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 1232 meters, located in a picturesque area near Dachleiteck.

You will start your journey at the trailhead, where you can find the Gasthaus Etrachsee restaurant for a quick bite before embarking on your adventure. Just a short distance away, there is a convenient parking area for you to leave your vehicle before hitting the trail.

As you make your way along the route, you will encounter the tranquil waters of a natural water source located 3.9 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing stop along the way. Further along, at the 5.46-kilometer mark, you will come across the Rupprechtseck peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Continuing on, you will reach the Dachleiteck peak at 5.87 kilometers, where you can take in the breathtaking vistas and enjoy a well-deserved break. Nearby, the Arfeld peak at 4.58 kilometers offers another opportunity to marvel at the natural beauty of the area.

Around 2.33 kilometers from the start, you will find a spring where you can replenish your water supply before heading back. Before concluding your hike, make sure to visit the Etrachsee information point located at the trailhead to learn more about the local flora and fauna.
