This challenging 9.93-kilometer out-and-back hike to Bowfell will take you approximately 4 hours and 15 minutes to complete. The route has an elevation gain of 783 meters, so be prepared for a strenuous ascent.

Starting at the parking area near the trailhead, you will begin your hike towards Bowfell. Along the way, you will pass by Flat Crags, a popular climbing spot located 4.66 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at 4.81 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Cambridge Crags, another climbing area featuring impressive rock formations.

As you continue your ascent, you will eventually come across Bowfell, a prominent peak standing at 4.97 kilometers from the start. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views from the summit before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.

Make sure to bring plenty of water, as this is a challenging hike with significant elevation gain.
