Welcome to the hiking route to the Source Supérieure du Morétan - Crêt du Biais. This challenging 9.749-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the Parking du Gleysin, hikers will set off on a journey that will take them through the picturesque landscape of the area. The trail begins with a slight incline, gradually increasing in elevation as you make your way towards the summit.
About 4.87 kilometers into the hike, you will come across several water features including natural springs and waterfalls. Take a moment to rest and refuel at the Chalet du Vay, a wilderness hut located 3.59 kilometers from the start.
As you continue on, you will pass by Combe Grasse, an information point about the local area, and Col du Vay, a scenic saddle point offering panoramic views. Be sure to stop and take in the scenery.
At around 3.18 kilometers into the trail, you will encounter a natural spring, perfect for filling up your water bottle before the trek back. Along the way, you will also find another information point, a shelter, and more opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings.
With an elevation gain of 1297 meters, this hike is extremely difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
