This challenging hiking route towards Moncucco offers a distance of 5.629 kilometers and an elevation gain of 691 meters, taking approximately 3 hours to complete. The route begins in a beautiful area with wayside shrines along the way.

As you start the hike, you will come across a historic wayside shrine about 0.17 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the trail, at 1.33 kilometers, there is another wayside shrine, this time right on the trail.

For your convenience, a parking area is available right at the beginning of the trail. Additionally, you will find drinking water sources at various points along the hike to keep you hydrated. At about 0.17 kilometers from the start, there is a natural water source and two drinking water spots nearby at 0.31 kilometers.

As you continue along the route, at 1.83 kilometers, there is another drinking water point followed by a shelter at 1.85 kilometers. For information and guidance, there are tourism information points at different locations along the trail, the first one being at 0.23 kilometers from the start.

The trail leads you to Bocchetta di Cavalla, a natural saddle point at 2.49 kilometers from the beginning. Further ahead, at 2.81 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Moncucco, providing stunning views of the surroundings.

Before you head back, you can visit the restaurant located at 0.3 kilometers from the trailhead to refuel and relax. Lastly, make sure to check the weather forecast and carry an adequate water supply due to the challenging nature of the hike.
