This challenging hiking route will take you on a 10.721-kilometer circular journey to Cima Marsicce, offering stunning views and various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area, you will make your way through the wilderness, passing by the wayside shrine at the beginning of the trail. As you hike onwards, you'll come across a drinking water station and a natural water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles.
Around the 3.51-kilometer mark, you'll reach Bivacco Cortechiuso, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further along the trail, at 4.59 kilometers, you'll encounter Cimone di Cortechiuso, a natural peak offering panoramic views of the area.
As you approach the 5.18-kilometer mark, you'll reach the highlight of the hike, Cima Marsicce, another peak with breathtaking vistas waiting for you at the top. Along the way back, you'll pass by Bocchetta di Cortechiuso, a natural saddle point, before reaching the parking area once again.
This hike is considered difficult due to its length of 10.721 kilometers and elevation gain of 896 meters.
