This hiking route will lead you to the beautiful Sonnwendwand peak in the scenic area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.756 kilometers and an elevation gain of 800 meters, making it a difficult hike.

Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the Hainbach parking area, just 6.733 kilometers from the beginning. As you continue on, about 3.35 kilometers into the hike, you will reach Hofbauernalm, a restaurant that is only open from June to September. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some refreshments before continuing your journey.

Further along the trail, at around 3.88 kilometers in, you will reach the Sonnwendwand peak, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to capture some stunning photos at this point.

Along the way, you may also come across informational points such as Naturschutzgebiet Geigelstein, Dr. Röck memorial, and various benches for resting. These points provide valuable insights into the area's history and ecology.
