This hiking route will take you through a challenging but rewarding journey in the Zelenjak area. With a total distance of 12.02 kilometers and an elevation gain of 764 meters, this trail is categorized as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a strenuous workout.

As you begin your hike, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. At the beginning of the route, you'll find a parking area. Further along, about 0.04 kilometers from the start, there is a memorial, as well as a restaurant called Gostilna in Pizzeria Pri Kumru. Don't forget to check the opening hours if you plan to stop for a meal.

Continuing on, at around 0.92 kilometers into the hike, you'll see a wayside cross, followed by a wayside shrine at 2.07 kilometers. Along the way, you'll also encounter informational points such as the Podružnična cerkev sv. Primoža, providing insights about the surrounding area.

When you reach the midway point of the trail, you'll find another parking area before heading towards the natural peaks in the area. Oltarna peč peak is at 5.54 kilometers, Jameljski vrh peak is at 4.36 kilometers, and Zelenjak peak is at 6.01 kilometers from the start. These points offer breathtaking views, making the challenging hike worth the effort.

Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast beforehand and be prepared for changing conditions.
